Client Need
Literacy Connections is a private, not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) organization committed to helping adults and families become functionally literate. The organization works with the lowest literacy level adults in Dutchess, Columbia, Greene, and Orange Counties. They needed a nonprofit website that showcased the services they provide.
Gilday Creative Plan
We met with Literacy Connections to discuss their expectations and needs for their new website. Based on that conversation, we planned to revise the navigation to make the user experience easier and intuitive. They also needed an events calendar and a Frequently answered questions page to improve communication between staff and community members. Further, we transformed their static forms to gravity forms, allowing users to fill them out and send electronically.
The Results
Literacy Connections’ nonprofit website is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. It conveys the organization’s message, important information to donors and community members, answers frequently asked questions, and allows users to use online forms electronically. We ensured that all Sponsors had their logo prominently displayed on the bottom of each page. In addition, we designed several “call to actions” in the footer where users can sign up for updates, contact a local office, or donate to the organization.
