It all comes back full circle.
We are proud to be working with the students of SUNY Ulster’s Entrepreneurial Program to develop a new website for their upcoming entrepreneurial program of a student-run on-campus boutique/kiosk called “Community Creations” that will offer high quality and eco-friendly hand made goods made by local businesses and college communities. We will work with students from different classes over the coming semesters as the website is designed, developed, and launched. We’ll also provide website maintenance training post launch so that students will be able to maintain and update the site as the business grows.
The project will give students business experience in the form of:
- Developing a digital brand. image
- Selecting the proper website design/navigation to promote its goods.
- Creating marketing content for the website.
- Project management of the different phases of a website’s design/development: design approval, navigation approval, population of website with marketing content, and launch.
Sheila Gilday, owner and creative director of Gilday Creative, says, “As a graduate of SUNY Ulster, I am excited to give back to the college that helped me start my academic path and ultimately my career. After earning an Associate’s Degree from SUNY Ulster, I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree and eventually a Master’s in Fine Arts. My goal is for the students to take what they learn from this project and apply it to their studies and their future as entrepreneurs.”
